Black River Health has been awarded a Certificate of Recognition from the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) for achieving Checkpoint Top Performer status in key quality and patient safety categories during the 2024–2025 period.
The recognition highlights Black River Health’s commitment to excellence in birth outcomes, patient safety for all patients, and patient safety for patients with surgeries.
Checkpoint Top Performer status is awarded to health care organizations that demonstrate outstanding performance in quality metrics tracked by the WHA’s Checkpoint public reporting initiative, which promotes transparency and continuous improvement across Wisconsin hospitals.
“We are honored to receive this recognition from the Wisconsin Hospital Association,” said Michelle Clark-Forsting, MD, Chief Physician Executive at Black River Health. “It is a reflection of the unwavering dedication our providers, nurses, and support staff have to delivering safe, high-quality care to every patient, every day.”
The award underscores Black River Health’s ongoing leadership in advancing healthcare quality and patient safety in rural Wisconsin.
