In fact, tobacco use is the leading preventable cause of death and disease in the U.S. We offer a variety of tobacco cessation programs and services.<\/p>\n<p>Because we care about each patient&#8217;s health and comfort, upon admission, all inpatients are questioned regarding tobacco usage. Referrals are made to Respiratory Care for patients that currently use tobacco. There they are briefly asked about their tobacco use history and if they would be interested in nicotine replacement while in the hospital since we are a tobacco-free campus.
