The DAISY Award, established by the Daisy Foundation, was created in honor of J. Patrick Barnes, whose family wanted to honor the exceptional nurses who cared for him during his battle with an autoimmune disease. Today, the award is presented nationwide to nurses who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of their patients, embodying the values of care, compassion, and professionalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
