[Red Wing, MN, August 19, 2021] \u2014 Spave investors, friends and family of Spave Founder, Susan Langer formally celebrated the acquisition of Spave by the Reseda Group<\/a> at the Red Wing Golf Course, located in Red Wing, Minnesota on August 19, 2021. Attendees enjoyed a delicious meal, celebratory Spave-tini signature drink and shared fond memories of the road to acquisition.<\/p>\n

Founder Susan Langer led the event and highlighted the many people that helped lead to Spave\u2019s success. From interns like Megan Geelan to investors John Long and current Executive Director of Launch MN<\/a>, Neela Mollgard. \u201cSpave is a perfect example of how innovation can happen anywhere. The tenacity of Susan Langer along with the collective support from local, regional and state organizations provided the funding, technical assistance, and access to networks needed to launch a fintech startup in greater Minnesota,\u201d shared Mollgard.<\/p>\n

Whitney Anderson-Harrell, President of Desk Drawer Fund<\/a>, a Michigan nonprofit added, \u201cThe Spave partnership will evolve our nonprofit, the Desk Drawer Fund, through the utilization of technology to innovate and expand the ways we can engage with donors. Spave modernizes the donor experience while providing an additional platform for promotion.\u201d<\/p>\n

True to Spave\u2019s core beliefs, at the core of the technology and company, is the principle of generosity, to give freely and often. During the event, attendees were also invited to nominate their favorite nonprofit for a chance to win money to support their cause. Hometown nonprofit, Lake Pepin Legacy alliance<\/a> received the randomly drawn $1,000 prize, Urban Boatbuilders<\/a> received $500 and Gilda\u2019s Club Twin Cities<\/a> and The Jerimiah Project<\/a> both received $250.
