ESSENTIAL DUTIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Practices infection control techniques.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Knowledge and application of policies and procedures of SSRCH.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Organizes and maintains safe patient care and work areas.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Documents patient care on a timely basis according to policies.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Responds to emergency situations.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. 200%Accountability for all Personal Behaviors Exhibited<\/span><\/li>\n

    PATIENT CARE:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Provides care and services according to the patient\u2019s plan of care.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Assists the patient in activities of daily living including personal grooming, feeding, drinking, toileting, bathing, skin care, nail care, dressing, transferring and walking; provides fresh water and nourishment between meals.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Assists with ambulation, transfer of, and exercise of patient.<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Maintains a clean, safe and comfortable environment.<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Gives emotional support to the patient\/family.<\/span><\/li>\n
    6. Provides prescribed treatments, after training by RN and a return demonstration.<\/span><\/li>\n
    7. Reports status\/observations of assigned patients to RN caring for the patient.<\/span><\/li>\n
    8. Attends Interdisciplinary Team meetings as requested.<\/span><\/li>\n
    9. Assists the nurse in care and treatment measures including giving enemas, changing dressings, collecting specimens, applying compresses, applying other treatments and taking vital signs.<\/span><\/li>\n
    10. Assists the nurse in caring for patients with special equipment or apparatuses or requiring special procedures.<\/span><\/li>\n
    11. Light housekeeping duties as assigned.<\/span><\/li>\n
    12. Promptly answers patients\u2019 call lights and\/or requests.<\/span><\/li>\n
    13. Works effectively as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team in the delivery of care and assists in the orientation of new employees.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
