Guidance, Comfort, and Care for Families
The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs, launched We Honor Veterans (WHV), a campaign dedicated to honoring veterans with debilitating and life-limiting illnesses by providing them with dignified end-of-life care.
In 2013, the staff and veteran volunteers of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice joined this effort, establishing partnerships with local veteran service offices and groups. We effectively advocate on behalf of veterans and their families, many of whom are unaware of local services available regarding end-of-life care.
